I am currently teaching a 1/2 combo class at Monroe. I graduated from the University of Montana in 1992 with a Bachelor’s in Education, and have been teaching in Boise my entire career...since 1994!  While teaching, I attended Northwest Nazarene University and earned a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction.  My goal is to teach the whole child, not just academics, but social skills as well as character education. I love teaching first and second graders for a few reasons. First of all, I get to teach them to read!  I love watching them grow each day with their reading skills.  They each have a huge learning curve, and I that gives me great joy.  The second reason is that they are 6 and 7, and they love me unconditionally! Who doesn’t love that?
